Frequently asked questions
What is the Obriko Method?
The Obriko Method offers an alternative path to mental health and emotional wellbeing through a series of teachings targeting the conscious mind augmented with hypnosis targeting the subconscious mind. The Obriko method takes a teaching approach to issues of the mind.
What issues can this help with?
The Obriko Method helps with most issues traditional talk therapy addresses. Issues like anxiety, stress, low self-esteem and low confidence, depression, anger, PTSD and childhood trauma are the most common. It can also be used for productivity blocks, relationship patterns, and general “stuck” feelings that don’t have an obvious source.
How is this different from regular talk therapy?
The biggest difference is the approach. Traditional talk therapy often focuses on managing symptoms over time with a lot of emphasis on the past. In traditional talk therapy, the patient “talks” and healing happens through talking. The Obriko Method on the other hand focuses on the root cause of what creates the issues a person is struggling with and emphasis is on the present day. Client’s spend most of their time learning the right way to use the mind to transcend problems of the mind. The Obriko Method also targets both parts of the mind (conscious and subconscious). The result, change happens faster, the process is more enjoyable and results lasts.
How is this different from CBT?
CBT largely works at the level of conscious thought and behavior. CBT, like most conventional approach to therapy see emotions as inevitable, thereby focusing on how to manage them. The Obriko Method targets both the conscious and subconscious mind. It also approaches emotions not as inevitabilities, but rather, a creation of the mind, done by the individual. A question the Obriko Method asks is “Why manage something you don’t want, when you can stop creating it?”
Is The Obriko Method Hypnosis?
The Obriko Method is more than hypnosis. The new teaching that the client learns is the primary driver for the transformation. Because the Obriko Method is focused on change at a more deeper (subconscious) level, a “reprogramming” of the mind, we need to use a tool that can reach that level and that tool is hypnosis.
How many sessions are needed?
The Obriko Method is a result driven approach and as such, we offer programs rather than sessions. The goal here is to see and experience real transformation that is measurable. We currently offer 3 programs. 21 days, 7 weeks, and 12 weeks.

Do you take insurance?
Unfortunately no. You can use an HSA account if that’s available to you but all programs are self pay. There are also payment plans available if needed.
Will this work for me? I've tried many things.
Yes, the Obriko Method works. If you’ve tried many things and are still struggling or not where you would like to be, you will see the Obriko Method as the missing piece. If you think (we all do) and are motivated to change, results are guaranteed.
Does the Obriko Method work for everyone?
The Obriko Method works for anyone with a healthy mind. The method is not recommended for individuals with mental illnesses (borderline personality disorder, schizophrenia, psychosis or dissociative personality disorder). Individuals with mental illnesses need supervised care and medication from a psychiatrist or psychologist.
